We had a great tour with our guide. We tried some traditional foods and things that everyone would like. It was a nice contrast. Our guide was informative and fun. Definitely come hungry as there were so many great things to try.
We experienced a lovely tour with my family of 5 on Friday afternoon August 2, with a lovely woman (sorry, jet lagged brain did not remember her name). She was pleasant, thorough, and best of all, grew up in Reykjavik and had all kinds of input of what life was like and how it has changed. Her perspective and knowledge was infinitely better than the tour guides we had later, from another company, who were recent arrivals from foreign countries. I highly recommend this tour, and worth every penny with booking a private tour.
Great intro to the city with a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Good history, stories and cultural knowledge. Good recommendations for restaurants and bars.
This is well worth the money. The tour guide provided lots of cultural and historical information to go with the cuisine. Come hungry because unlike some food tours you get plenty of food. It was a great introduction to Iceland.
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Our guide, Astor shared a thorough and interesting history of the Beer culture in Iceland. The locations and samples covered the entire spectrum of Icelandic Beers. We even re-visited the locations from the tour because they were so good. We cannot say enough good things about Astor! He made the tour!
We came hungry and left full and enlightened. It was as much a cultural lesson as a culinary delight. Our excellent guide could answer all of our questions and was good company. It was a nice walk between the eating places. Trendy restaurants and quirky, traditional ones. A great mix. We recommend this tour!
We had an outstanding time at our food tour with our guide and her introduction into the unique food of Iceland. The walk and easy, the dining experiences very comfortable and the enthusiasm our guide had for her city and country was a great introcuction.
