Whale Watching Classic in Reykjavik
Whale Watching Classic In Reykjavik
This is the original whale whatching tour from Reykjavik and one of the most popular attractions in Iceland.
This your chance to see the whales and dolphins of Faxaflói.
Great trip with whales and dolphins We got lucky with a minke whale just by the harbour mouth then 2 humpback whales further out to sea and a pod of dolphins between the 1st whale and 2nd An excellent and knowledgeable guide who was able to explain behaviour and general knowledge of the whales The vessel is well equipped and has warm suits you can borrow if it gets cold on deck.
Whale Sightseeing. The crew and guides were excellent and worked hard to make sure everyone got a good view of the whales whilst being very respectful of the whales themselves. Our guide, Meghan, was super a qualified marine biologist her knowledge and presentation on the wildlife and geography of the area was first class
Whale watching cruise This was a really enjoyable afternoon. I loved the fact that the sea was quite choppy, they offered free sea sickness pills for anyone who suffers with sea sickness before we set off which I thought was a nice touch. The guide was knowledgeable and really enthusiastic, when we spotted a minke whale it was thrilling. Our guide was so excited as she said it was her first whale of the year so we felt especially lucky to have seen it. Our captain tracked the whale and we had so many opportunities to see it - all the time with our guide giving information about whales and their habits. After the cruise we emailed the company with details of the which day and time we went and were given free access to the photos taken by the staff on board. This is a wonderful feature and much appreciated, I felt that the whole trip was value for money.
Nice experience, out for nearly 5 hours at sea. Well organised and a real nice day. All the staff involved were really lovely and helpful. Saw a few fins from dolphins & some minke whales, nothing’s bursting out of the water like on some of the pictures but that’s just luck of the draw. I’ve never suffered from sea sickness before but me and a lot of another passengers were sick a lot on the deck below. The staff are really attentive with this, they handed out free anti sickness tablets & they had lots of sick bags etc to hand; a staff member even came round and replaced people’s sick bags, including mine! Really informative and my boyfriend loved the trip. The only thing that let it down was my stomach aha. Thanks guys, you all do a fab job!!
